Principal's Message
Thank you for visiting the Wood Dale Junior High website!
My name is Joe Krause, and this is my 5th year as Principal at the junior high. We look forward to an exemplary 2025-2026 school year filled with unique learning experiences for all our students.
Wood Dale Junior High serves approximately 270 students in grades 6, 7, and 8 from the city of Wood Dale, Illinois. We are proud of our exceptional dual language program, which enables students to learn in both English and Spanish on a daily basis. We celebrate our diversity and appreciate the lessons we learn from one another every day.
Our teachers maintain high expectations for academic achievement and are a talented group of individuals who are experts in their respective fields of study. We are currently rated as a commendable school on the Illinois School Report Card, and our top priority is continued academic and social-emotional growth for all our students.
Wood Dale Junior High students enjoy our before and after-school opportunities, which promote creativity and personal growth. This includes band, choir, sports, clubs, and many other engaging activities.
We provide Chromebooks for all students and teach a robust curriculum related to tech safety, ensuring that students have the skills to successfully navigate the internet and all that it has to offer.
Our staff strives to implement our vision and mission daily, which guides our daily practice to ensure success for all students.
